The 32 quarterbacks projected to start this season are ranked by PFF. Here are our top ten:
- Patrick Mahomes has a 50-touchdown season, an NFL MVP title, and a Super Bowl ring in his first three full seasons. How could he not be at the very top of the list?
- Tom Brady may be 44 years old when the 2024 season begins, but he is coming off his eighth Super Bowl win. With all of his targets back to the Buccaneers, the defending champ has to be at the top of the list.
- Russell Wilson was a contender for MVP last season, but a poor offensive line cost him the season, as he had the most sacks in the second half. The Super Bowl champion could be considered for MVP consideration again this season if he receives more assistance from his teammates.
- Aaron Rodgers seems to be committed to the Green Bay Packers for at least one more season. The 37-year-old is still a top quarterback after a 48-touchdown season.
- Before suffering a season-ending ankle injury in Week 5 of last season, Dak Prescott was on track for a career year. He’s just 28 years old, but he’s already in the peak of his career and should be one of the greatest quarterbacks in 2024.
- Last season, Josh Allen made significant strides, and the Bills seem to be on the rise. He’s one of the finest young quarterbacks in the NFL, and he can run the ball as well as throw it.
- Lamar Jackson, the league’s MVP two years ago, is a brilliant playmaker. After a poor year in 2024, he could experience an uptick in output this season, allowing him to reclaim his former glory.
- Baker Mayfield has aided the Browns’ revival, which hasn’t been seen in a long time. He has a formidable offensive arsenal around him, as well as a pass-blocking O-line. Mayfield is expected to run a strong campaign.
- In his first season with the Rams, Matthew Stafford receives an offensive-minded coach. Sean McVay appreciates his ability to chuck long throws. Stafford may have his finest season in a long time if he can gel with his new teammates.
- Last season, Justin Herbert established the rookie touchdown record. He should only become better this year as he gains more experience. This may come as a surprise, but Herbert is expected to be a top-10 player in 2024.

It’s more difficult to rank the best ten passers of all time. We’ll follow in the footsteps of Pro Football Network:
- Brady has a total of seven rings. The discussion is now over.
- Joe Montana has won four Super Bowls and has never lost in the championship game. His playoff statistics are on par with anybody who isn’t Tom Brady. It’s difficult to rank him lower than No. 2.
- Peyton Manning may not have had the same playoff success as Brady, but his overall statistics are strong enough for him to be ranked third.
- Dan Marino was never a Super Bowl champion. But you can’t hold it against the Hall of Famer who won the 1984 MVP award after being the first quarterback in NFL history to pass for 5,000 yards in a single season.
- Brett Favre threw the ball so far that the phrase “gunslinger” might have been coined to describe him. Although he only won one Super Bowl, the Green Bay great was a three-time MVP.
- Roger Staubach only played eight seasons in the NFL, yet he appeared in four Super Bowls and won two of them. In the 1970s, he was the face of America’s Team and one of the all-time great quarterbacks.
- Johnny Unitas is regarded as the first modern quarterback in the NFL. He spent the most of his career prior to the Super Bowl era. So although he only won one Super Bowl, he did win three NFL Championships and three MVP awards.
- Otto Graham was the most prolific passer of his age throughout the 1940s and 1950s. Because he played so long ago, the three-time NFL champion may be mostly forgotten. He is, nevertheless, one of the finest.
- Drew Brees is one of the league’s most productive and accurate quarterbacks. The recently departed quarterback has a Super Bowl championship and a record five 5,000-yard seasons (no one else has more than one).
- If Rodgers wins a second ring before retiring, he may climb up the list. However, regardless of what he accomplishes from now on, his career statistics to date, including MVPs, place him in the top ten.
Who is the wealthiest quarterback of all time?
Because of today’s pay, it’s very certain that the wealthiest quarterback of all time will be a current NFL player. It’s no surprise that he’s ranked first on our list of all-time greats. Brady’s net worth is estimated to be $250 million by Celebrity Net Worth, which includes money earned in the NFL, sponsorships, and other business endeavors.
