iBuypower has been known for its gaming laptops for a while now, and this new flagship has caught our attention. The new Element has an excellent value proposition, but the question is: is the 2017 version better than the original?
The iBuypower Element MR 9320 Gaming PC is a Black Friday laptop deal in the form of a small, light gaming PC in brushed aluminum. It’s not the cheapest model in the lineup, but I didn’t expect it to be particularly expensive.
It’s been a while since we reviewed a mid-range gaming PC and we’re back with another option from iBuypower, this time the Element MR 9320. All the specs and core components of the Element MR 9320 and its and Element MR 9320W are identical, with the only difference being the size of the machine. We’ll go over what you get in the box, what additional accessories you’ll need to get started, and how the system performs.

If you’ve heard of or used any iBUYPOWER products, you’re probably aware of the benefits they provide, as well as the disadvantages they have.
Among other things, we’ve chosen to investigate the Element MR 9320, a capable mid-range gaming machine.
The reason for this is because its main specifications include a 10th generation Core i7 CPU, a GTX 1660 Ti GPU, and 16 gigabytes of RAM. A 240 GB SSD and a 1 TB hard drive are also included for storage.
If you’re interested in 1080p gaming, running CAD, or creating software, as may be required in an engineering student’s program, this is a great setup.
When seen in this light, the Element MR 9260 is a newer version of the Element MR 9260, with a 9th generation CPU and almost identical other specifications. However, both of them are presently available at comparable prices, so the decision is yours.
And, most importantly, the desktop is completely upgradeable, allowing you to simply switch out any component for something better.
This distinguishes it from other prebuilt PCs, which are often limited in this regard.
But does this make it superior to the other gadgets in its category? So, let’s see what happens.

Review of the iBuypower Element MR 9320 Gaming PC
Buy it for: Good specifications and a lot of upgradeability
Be wary of: There is still a shortage of connectivity and customer service.
Gaming, League of Legends, Cities Skylines, engineering students, university students, and other reasons are the best applications for this item.
SkyTech Shadow 3.0 and Asus ROG Strix G15CK are the best options.
Verdict
With all of its upgradability and other outstanding features, the Element MR 9320 may be the end of your search for a mid-range prebuilt gaming rig. However, iBUYPOWER must recognize that their products are only worthwhile if they can offer adequate after-sales support, which is also one of the disadvantages of this desktop.
Design and Construction
The Element MR 9320 features a relatively simple chassis, with a front and side glass panel, four pegs on which the device rests, and so on.
Not to mention the RGB lighting, which adds to the overall appearance of the gaming PC.
The chassis isn’t new, and the overall simplicity of the design aids with maintenance and upgrades.
To replace any of the internal components, for example, all you have to do is open the glass panel, which you can accomplish without using any tools.
The ports and power button, as well as a dust filter, are all located on the top.
The iBUYPOWER branding appears at the bottom of the front panel, although it is tiny and unobtrusive.
There are a few additional connectors on the rear, which you can read about in the connection section below.
However, none of them are USB Type-C, which is one of the aspects of the desktop that we didn’t like for.
Since other custom PC manufacturers, such as SkyTech, have begun to improve connection on their machines, iBUYPOWER needs to devote more attention to this area as well.
But, apart from that, the desktop looks nice in overall, and there is enough of room inside for upgrades.
The cable management is likewise neat, and all of the ones inside are arranged, which, in our view, is excellent.
Performance
One of the reasons you should choose this PC is because of the specifications and performance it offers.
And, in this regard, the desktop lives up to our expectations.
If you want something that can handle mid-range activities like 1080p gaming or video editing, rendering, 3D modeling, and so on, you’ll be pleased.
This desktop may also be useful if you wish to broadcast your games live.
All of this is now feasible thanks to the 8-core Intel CPU, the Core i7-10700F, as previously stated.
These, unlike previous-generation models, also enable hyperthreading, ensuring that you receive considerably greater performance when doing things that need more cores and threads.
Single-core programs, such as gaming or CAD software used by engineering students, may also be run on it. But it’s not only the CPU that makes a difference; there’s also a GTX 1660 Ti visual card.
Because this is a mid-range device, ray-tracing isn’t available, but the 6 GB GPU is still an excellent option.
Some games may be played at 1440p with acceptable frame rates if you play on medium to low settings.
But that’s about it, and the desktop, considering its price and capabilities, isn’t designed for much more.
Enough RAM is already installed in the system to ensure that everything works properly.
Also installed is Windows 10 Home, which is devoid of unwanted applications, so there’s no need to spend time removing anything.
RAM and storage
The Element MR 9320 has two storage drives: one SSD and one hard disk.
The SSD has a storage capacity of 240 GB, while the hard drive has a capacity of 1 TB. There are open spaces for both types of drives, so you may add more of either.
The desktop’s 16 GB RAM is split into two slots, both of which are readily accessible.
Although each variant of the desktop has a different motherboard, you should still be able to purchase up to 64 GB of RAM, which is more than plenty.
Connectivity and ports
The iBUYPOWER desktop’s connectivity isn’t the greatest in the industry, so you may need to make some small changes.
If you’re searching for a USB Type-C connector or WIFI 6, for example, we’ve got terrible news for you.
However, there are still a lot of ports available. All of the required ports are there, from the USB 2 USB Type-A ones on the front to the ones on the rear.
There are four USB Type-A connectors on the rear, two of which are USB 3.0 and two of which are USB 2.0.
There are 7.1 audio output connectors, an Ethernet slot, and headphone and microphone connections, among other things (on the front).
Although the Element MR 9320 is a mid-range device, it nevertheless supports numerous monitors, including high-resolution ones.
One of the HDMI, VGA, or DVI ports is available for this purpose. As soon as you set up the PC, Bluetooth and WIFI are available to use.
Features Not Included
When the system is switched off, the iBUYPOWER Element MR 9320 features a unique mirror-like tempered glass that mimics the characteristics of a mirror.
This distinguishes it from other tempered glass cabinets.
A gaming keyboard and mouse are also included, which are decent and suitable for both casual and serious gamers.
The PC also comes with a normal one-year warranty.

What are people saying about the iBUYPOWER Element MR 9320?
A simple desktop has its own charm, even if it is not without flaws.
The same can be said about the iBUYPOWER Element MR 9320, which has been praised for its basic but effective features.
First and foremost, the design is extremely practical in terms of updates and maintenance, and it also looks nice.
As one would expect from a gaming PC, the glass panel, RGB cooling fans, and other features make it very appealing.
The chassis quality is excellent, and there is plenty of room for improvements.
The specifications of the desktop are excellent, and considering the price, there are no concerns.
Users were able to run all of the applications they desired because to the fast CPU, mid-range video card, and sufficient RAM.
This included video games, and many could utilize a 144 Hz display at 1080p since the system allowed for greater frame rates in some games.
There were also those who experimented with 1440p gaming on a whim, and the desktop didn’t disappoint.
Buyers could also utilize several displays since there were various video connections. This isn’t something spectacular, but it’s still something you should be aware of.
However, with all of the positive aspects, there are certain drawbacks, the most of them are related to hardware quality.
Many customers had to change their RAM or power supply shortly after purchase because they were inadequate.
And, since customer service was just mediocre at best, these issues didn’t go away quickly.
